Transmission access of new generation: the Spanish case

In deregulated electric sectors transmission network becomes the link between the electric market and market participants, so in this new environment transmission access is considered an essential right. In this paper the transmission access scheme for new generation is studied in order to identify possible situations of discrimination between market participants, suggesting solutions to the problems identified. In addition the Spanish solution adopted for the transmission access problem is included as well as the expected development of new generation.
