Abstract
This paper addresses the evaluation of interruptible load management through dynamic optimal power flow. It is considered that economic incentives are offered by the utility to its customers in order to reduce their demand. These incentives are explicitly modeled in the optimization problem. Also, different kinds of intertemporal relationships between variables are taken into account. They allow the representation of important cross-time effects, such as the interaction between demand and price in different time intervals. By this means, the impact on system performance of the redistribution of the recovered energy in response to the economic incentives can be assessed. The IEEE 30-bus test system is used to illustrate the application of the proposed tool.
