Abstract
The respiratory effects of Zopiclone (ZPC) 7.5mg treatment for nocturnal awaking on site of polysomnography was evaluated. Apnea hypopnea indices adjusted by sleep stage (in non-REM sleep) and body position (at supine position) one hour just before and after taking ZPC were compared in 10 polysomnography sessions. Probability in marginal homogeneity test did not reach the significant level. ZPC 7.5mg, which does not induce the respiratory change, is suitable for treating insomnia at polysomnography to assess the severity of sleep apnea syndromes.
