Abstract :
The authors describe the development of an instrumentation system which will provide accurate measurement of rotor disk position and blade flapping angle and furnish processed data for rotor control. The instrumentation system will upgrade an existing system utilizing new technologies in digital signal processing (DSP). The instrumentation system receives an analog signal and computes discrete harmonics in real time. It consists of a commercial DSP board mounted on a PC. A numeric processing algorithm has been developed for the DSP board. An interfacing program has also been developed to access harmonic data on the DSP board and display on the PC
