  • Abstract
The authors report on the change of electron mobility in mixtures of neopentane (μel=70 cm2 V-1 s-1) and tetramethylsilane (μel=95 cm2 V-1 s-1) at room temperature. Different theoretical models are discussed and new measurements of the mobility of excess electrons in mixtures of liquid neopentane and tetramethylsilane at (22±2)°C as a function of composition are presented. The dependence of the electron mobility on the composition of the mixture is shown. In the pure solvents, μel(NP)=66.5 cm2 V -1 s-1 and μel(TMSi)=99 cm2 V-1 were measured. The mean error of the experimental mean values is approximately ±5%
