Abstract :
Under stabilizability-detectability conditions imposed on naturally or artificially defined subsystems, the optimal solution of a linear quadratic control problem can be obtained with required accuracy in terms of reduced order problems by a fixed point type algorithm. This method is recursive in its nature and brings considerable savings in the size of required computations, especially when the system of high order is considered.
