Abstract :
The multicasting of information is needed in a variety of situations. For example, when a local government has the necessity to distribute emergency information of natural disaster to the public or when a shop advertises goods for a time-limited sale. This information is generally time-sensitive and needs to deliver quickly. We have studied multicasting of such time-sensitive information using a tree-structured overlay network, and have shown that the overlay network allows information to be delivered quickly. In this paper, we show the validity of tree-structured overlay network through conducting several experiments under real conditions, and analyze the advantages of P2P architecture in more general situation.
