Abstract :
A comparison of nonlinear analysis methods for simulation of power amplifier adjacent-channel power ratio is presented. Adjacent-channel power ratio is the linearity figure-of-merit for digital wireless communication systems employing non-constant envelope modulation techniques, such as OQPSK and π/4-QPSK. Tradeoffs in the performance of each method are discussed. Using modulation for the TIA IS-95 and the TIA IS-54 standards, measured and simulated results for a single-stage power amplifier are presented
