Abstract :
With the development of computer technology, the study of chaos has penetrated to many science fields, including power systems. However paper on the interaction between the vacuum circuit breaker and chaotic behavior of power system seems to be nonexistent in the published literature. Through the analysis of two actual nonlinear power systems, this paper explains the effects of vacuum circuit breaker on the chaotic behavior of power systems. Furthermore, the extinguish characteristic of vacuum are under chaotic state is also presented.
