  • Abstract
    This paper presents simulation design & development of a processing module for MTI radar system. We have explored the high level utility of MATLAB & SIMULINK software tools due to their relative simplicity & flexibility for studying, simulating & automating design of the system. Integrating MATLAB code with Simulink models provides the necessary interfaces to later transition from software based radar models to actual hardware radar system; this work gives a digitized foundation for design implementation on embedded systems. Signal contaminated with noise & clutter is modelled to test the efficacy of the design algorithm for this implementation. Moreover, Doppler frequency shifts in the frequency of the radar echo pulses are used to determine speed of the moving targets.
