Abstract
A method that provides an ideal sparse time-frequency representation, for signals with an incomplete set of samples, is proposed. It is based on the complex-time auto-correlation function and signal reconstruction algorithm performed using the orthogonal matching pursuit. The proposed method is tested on signal with fast-varying instantaneous frequency, showing remarkable performance even for a small set of input samples.
