Abstract
This paper presents a practical implementation approach for the fixed-point homotopy method which determines DC operating-points of nonlinear circuits. We propose a special circuit called the “solution-tracing circuit”. By using this circuit, SPICE transient analysis is performed to trace the solution curves of the homotopy equations and to reach the DC operating points of the circuits to be solved. The proposed technique is effective and can be easily implemented
