Technology and the innovative transformation of education

This presentation will build on snapshots from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) education technology expedition to illustrate how institutions can strive to match their unique strengths to new educational technology opportunities. MIT\´ s engagement with technology reflects an extensive array of innovative activity ranging from simple experiments that address pressing "instructional " problems to sweeping institutional commitments with global scope in a context which recognizes that the best learning is a deep human endeavor. Educational technology initiatives employ different modalities for diverse educational aspirations/goals.
