Abstract
We present an experimental demonstration of a full quantum key distribution system employing weak laser pulses over a standard telecommunications fiber that uses the so-called "Plug and Play" or "auto-compensating" scheme. First experimental results show a fringe visibility of 0.985 and a quantum bit error rate of 2.3 % for a 25 km optical link.
