Abstract
Presents a method based on orthogonal wavelet pyramids for registration of serial cross-section images presenting global and local distortions. The image registration process is performed by exploiting a multi-level, multi-image approach whereby the wavelet subband images at different levels are used in a non-feature-based way to determine the motion vectors between the reference and the target images
