  • Abstract
Interference is ever present in one form or another in all circuits. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) affects an entire class of electronic equipment. This paper highlights the ill effects of EMI and also describes containment of the EMI situation to protect electronic systems. The paper lays emphasis on relevance in aspects of interference related causes and effects towards the malfunction of power supply equipment and associated components-by conduction or radiation. The paper stresses the need for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) to aid the healthy functioning of electronic power supplies and components in the field of electronics
