Abstract :
Methods of training neural networks using error backpropagation (BEP) and modified versions of BEP to control a two-link manipulator are discussed. Results are presented from experiments in which networks are trained to draw handwritten characters using modified BEP, and their abilities to interpolate are examined by having them draw handwritten characters for which they have not been trained
