Abstract
Power electronic assemblies often come with inherent problems that appear only under certain fault conditions after production begins. Using nine examples of various products, the author discusses such problems and solutions. Some seem apparent, some are subtle; all are presented to help circuit designers and packagers avoid and solve similar problems
