  • Abstract
Describes a new approach to extract sets of relevant edges within images obtained by videokeratography. Classical approaches are used to scan images from their center by means of “rotating rays”-also called meridians-and to perform one-dimensional signal processing along these meridians. We propose a new approach that takes into account the global coherence of images. First, we extract relevant features from images and we set relations between these primitives: this process gives the images its structure. Then we use this structural information to accurately determine the location of edges by means of an elastic matching process
