Abstract :
A data dictionary for the ACR-NEMA standard has been developed using the object-oriented language C++. The dictionary consists of DictionaryEntry, HashTable; Dictionary, DictionaryLink, Linknode. The computerized data Dictionary could be used by a Picture Archiving and Communications System to parse and display messages on an imaging workstation or to construct ACR-NEMA images from proprietary format image data on a modality. The paper describes the data structures, algorithm, implementation of the computerized dictionary
