Abstract
We demonstrate bit pattern generation in the terahertz spectral range by optical pulse shaping. Terahertz radiation is generated and detected via a terahertz time domain spectroscopy driven by a frequency doubled femtosecond fiber laser. Emitter and detector are photoconductive antennas based on low-temperature grown GaAs. The pulse shaping setup makes use of phase-only filtering in the frequency domain. The Gerchberg-Saxton-algorithm is used for nearly real-time generation of phase masks.
