  • Abstract
    We propose a configuration for a new device, the microwave photonics transistor which is capable, in principle of performing the main functionalities expected from an analog photonic front-end. The transistor is composed of several electronic, optoelectronic and photonics components and provides the required flexibility by suitable programming of the characteristics of these devices by means of external control signals.
