Abstract :
A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for simultaneous stabilizability of two sets of linear time-invariant systems with each set being inside a frequency-domain neighborhood of the nominal system. The necessary and sufficient condition is derived on the basis of interpolation with unit function in H∞. For some simplified cases, verifiable sufficient conditions for this stabilizability are derived. The construction of the desired stabilizing compensator under such sufficient conditions can be obtained by solving a nonlinear programming problem
