Abstract
We demonstrated switching operations and evaluated the phase shift using the fabricated Si waveguide Mach-Zehnder interferometer switches. The obtained phase change coefficient in the Si-waveguide with the ferro-electric liquid crystal cladding was 2.1π rad/mm.
