Abstract :
Presents a method of echographic images processing for the 3D reconstruction of the long bones, which has been validated with in vitro experimentations. A 2D reconstruction technique using radial B-Scan images processing was utilized for the reconstruction of successive parallel cross-sections. The automatic segmentation of all the calculated images allows the extraction of the external contours of the skeleton. An association method of cross-section contours gives a structural meaning to the volume. An interpolation step of the contours is required for the obtention of a 3D representation and visualisation with voxels list
