Abstract
In this article, issue on selection of an optimal treatment method for acute periodontal disease using fuzzy measure is discussed. Depending on development phases, symptoms of investigated disease, different treatment methods are applied. Doctor evaluates the expected effectiveness of applied treatment methods in each phase of disease. Development phases of disease are expressed with natural language. They are accepted as linguistic terms. At first, words are expressed with fuzzy set and then effectiveness of each treatment method is evaluated. Efficiency per alternative (treatment method) is evaluated using fuzzy measure. Afterwards, very effective treatment method is defined within providing comparison of alternative treatment methods.
