Abstract
A systematic approach to the synthesis of a stabilizing controller for two classes of SISO time-delay type systems is given. Both state feedback and dynamic output feedback synthesis techniques are described. The class of time-delay systems considered can be realized using finite-dimensional state-space techniques with perturbations in the matrices of the system state model such that some known techniques from robust control theory can be applied. The obtained stabilizing controllers are finite-dimensional and of H ∞-type
