Abstract
The authors have developed an inexpensive computer-controlled instrument for producing individually shaped shields for use in patient treatment by radiotherapy. Improved accuracy and speed of production are advantages of the equipment over the manual instrument previously used. Innovative software enables economic use of materials and ease of use by the operators
