Abstract
A PON-based enterprise network is proposed for cost-effective and energy-efficient upgrade to future 10Gb/s fiber to the desktop. Energy-aware resource optimization schemes employed herein are shown to significantly improve energy efficiency compared to the ones currently under investigation.
