Abstract :
Classification-Tree Method (CTM) is widely used to generate test cases from functional specifications and is based on the idea of partition testing. Some few works have been done based on merging of two classification-trees. Existing method can be used to generate test cases by combining two classification trees based on information from the system specification and information from the COTS specification. The construction of combined classification-tree is rather ad hoc and it may vary from one test engineer to other test engineer. To overcome this problem, we provide all the basic cases for merging two classification-trees with their formal notations.
