Abstract :
This paper proposes the application of a multiple criteria methodology in the implementation management of authorized or not authorized yet (by the Brazilian regulation agency) reinforcements of substations and transmission lines. The presented algorithm is capable of measuring the degree of value that each reinforcement aggregates to the company, considering the transmission agent vision, represented by a set of criteria simultaneously applied, ranking and valuing the reinforcements and thereby assisting the decision making process of the referred implementations. The adopted method is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The developed methodology was applied to a transmission system with more than one hundred reinforcements of a Brazilian southeastern transmission utility (CTEEP), ranking and valuing the projects, thereby facilitating decision-making regarding their implementation.
