Abstract
Prior artificial intelligence robot planning techniques have mostly ignored time reasoning and coordination of multiple processing elements. A new technique that solves linear and non-linear problems also allows the coordination and sequencing of multiple machines (processes). Scheduling of processing cells (computing or factory) is achieved by integration of the planning technique with a time reasoning system. The planner includes a new means to specify the relationships of multiple goal states in order to describe a process sequence.
