Abstract :
Heterogeneous trench-assisted multi-core fiber (Hetero-TA-MCF) is proposed to achieve large effective area and high density of cores. The crosstalk value at 1550-nm wavelength of Hetero-TA-MCF can be lower than -30 dB after 100-km propagation.
