Abstract
Si photonics is an enabler of electronic and photonic convergence on Si CMOS platform for computing and communication evolution. The device toolkit has been prototyped and now being applied to various systems. The key for the next generation is WDM on a chip with scalability and flexibility. The present paper reviews current status and future prospective of Si photonics.
