Abstract :
We demonstrated a simple optoelectronic oscillators using dual-modulation of two-section distributed feedback semiconductor lasers. By applying multimode operation in the two-section lasers, an 8-GHz OEO signal with phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz at 5-kHz offset is generated.
