  • Abstract
    We demonstrate an optically tunable fiber attenuator by selectively infiltrating a photoresponsive liquid crystal mixture into a photonic crystal fiber. With 4-second blue-laser irradiation, the optically tunable attenuation can be increased to 26 dB.
