Abstract
The paper discusses the implementation of lightweight integration technologies in learning management systems and outlines the theoretical framework for a multi-agent based platform for such systems. The proposal explores existing multi-agent system frameworks and adds a message delivery system at the center of the architecture. This addition provides an effective yet lightweight communications mechanism. The paper also provides an example of the implementation of lightweight integration technologies for LMS development. The example illustrates the necessity for context specific languages in agent based educational platforms and it also demonstrates the ability of the proposed architecture to provide a smooth transition from the existing traditional LMS environment.
