Abstract
Petri nets with finitely many transitions and places are considered. A transition process is associated with each transition. It describes the production and consumption of tokens when the transition is fired. Under certain assumptions about the fluctuation of the processes and for various models of the underlying Petri net, conditions are derived for the existence of firing policies under which the number of tokens in the net satisfies some stability conditions
