  • Abstract
    In this paper we obtain the symbol error rate performance of amplify and forward relaying for independent, flat Nakagami-m fading channels, using moment generating function (MGF) of total received power at destination. We obtain upper bound on average symbol error probability, and verify the results with computer based simulations. Our analysis is generalized as we consider multiple relays and generalized fading environment. We propose a power efficient transmission mechanism in which the overall transmitted power from source and relays is kept to be constant, and independent of number of relays.
