Abstract :
An output-shared buffer ATM switch is proposed in this paper. This switch sits between an output-buffer ATM switch and a shared-buffer ATM switch. It offers better buffer utilization than a pure output-buffer ATM switch. It also has lower bandwidth requirement than a pure shared-buffer ATM switch
