Abstract :
A control scheme is proposed which uses model reference control as a primary design to achieve control objectives for the nominal plant and uses modeling error compensation to calibrate the error of model reference control in the presence of parameter uncertainty. The proposed control system is designed based on the same idea of model reference adaptive control. However, instead of using the error signal to adjust the controller parameters, the same signal is used as a control signal and therefore it results in a linear time-invariant closed-loop system
