  • Abstract
    A new semi-analytical method to estimate the bit-error ratio of two-polarization IQ modulation constellations is proposed, taking into account bit mapping and a possible non-Gaussian noise distribution. Results are compared to analytical formulas and various 4-dimensional constellations are evaluated.
