Abstract :
This paper presents a practical application of the finite element method (FEM) in modeling the unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. The FEM was applied with a massively parallel processing (MPP) IBM RS/6000 SP computer. Three programs are presented: one for preprocessing, one for processing, and the other for post-processing.
