Abstract :
In this paper it is shown how a simple adaptive control system can undergo a series of Hopfbifurcations and period doublings before it goes chaotic and eventually unstable. It is also shown that constant output disturbances can give rise to complex dynamics and complex stability boundaries in simple model reference systems.
