Abstract
A chip-set for a 40 Gb/s fibre-optical system is designed and fabricated in InP-HBT technology. The 2/spl times/2 crosspoint switch is part of an electrical demonstrator set-up. The switch is also an candidate for WDM-applications. Commercial CAD-software with a SPICE-based simulator are used during design. Necessary routines for extraction of interconnect parameters are implemented in CAD-software.
