Abstract :
Several works have studied the use of fuzzy logic, confirming that classical controllers, compared to fuzzy controllers, have the advantages of very short time of execution and mathematical precision. However, classical controllers have a certain limitation when rather significant variations of disturbance factors act on the system to be controlled. The classical controller does not always react in an optimal way. Thus, the abilities of adaptation and robustness of this controller are limited. An adaptation mechanism (supervisor) for the PI gain is proposed, allowing improvement of the classical controller, by introducing a certain degree of intelligence in the control strategy of the controller. Indeed, this approach of associating the PI controller with a supervisor composed of fuzzy rules, offers the possibility of using the mathematical accuracy of the PI algorithm with the adaptability, the flexibility and the simplicity of the fuzzy linguistic formalism.
