Abstract :
The antimatroid and lattice structure of the languages associated with certain generalized semi-Markov processes and stochastic Petri nets are studied. Applications of these structural properties are illustrated in the areas of stochastic monotonicity and convexity, simulation variance reduction, and optimal control
