Abstract :
A model reduction scheme for a SISO two-dimensional (2-D) system in state-space form is presented. The stability for reduced model is investigated. Also, the reduced-order approximation of Separable-in-Denominator 2-D system is provided. It is shown that the reduced-model is always stable for a stable original one. The simulation results are presented to verify the theory.
