Abstract :
In this paper, we consider two vectors linearly related to the state vector and how one can shape the trajectory of orie vector while optimally regulating the other one. While overall some performance is lost, relative to the full order optimal linear regulator problem, the dimensionality of the optimization problem can be dramatically reduced. Thus the procedure is suitable for large scale systems control.
