Abstract :
Conventional open-loop space frequency block coding (SFBC) and closed-loop extended orthogonal (EO-SFBC) are compared for application in two and four relay cooperative broadband networks with reduced peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) signal transmission. The PAPR reduction is based on amplitude clipping at the source and an iterative amplitude reconstruction (IAR) decoding technique at the destination. The simulations of the proposed systems verify that the four relay cooperative transmitter diversity scheme with feedback and IAR decoding achieves a considerably improvement in bit error rate (BER) compared with the open-loop two relay cooperative transmitter with the same decoding technique, whilst limiting the source PAPR.
